Julian Assange remains cut off from the world in Ecuador’s London embassy, shut off from friends, relatives and thousands of supporters, leaving him unable to do his crucial work, as John Pilger discusses with Dennis J. Bernstein. In a recent communication between Randy Credico, an Assange supporter, comic and radio producer, and Adam Schiff, the ranking member on the House […]

Dispatches From Damascus: Part Five
The area I was standing in was made safe only a few days previously by the SAA victory in Douma and East Ghouta as a whole. Under the surrender terms Jaysh al Islam agreed to release all their kidnapped civilians, a number believed to be around 5000. All the families of these disappeared turned up hoping to be reunited with them, but only 200 people emerged from the tunnels. The others had all been killed.
Dispatches From Damascus Part Four: A Conversation With A Syrian Army Captian
It’s difficult to convey the absolute love and esteem the Syrian people have for their army, which is made up of, as BSNews co-ed Mike Raddie says, the sons, daughters, fathers, brothers and sisters of Syrian families. The Syrian Army IS the Syrian people! And so the very idea they would be ‘killing their own people is utterly absurd! Last night we had dinner with friends who live in Damascus and they’d invited a young Syrian Army soldier friend to join us. He is only 22. It saddened me that he’s spent his young life having to fight. And fight off an existential threat to his country. But Syrians know what awaits them if they lose.
Corporate Media in West Doubles Down on the Douma ‘Chemical Attack’ Narrative
Moscow’s delegation to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) held a press briefing in the Hague on April 26 on the alleged 7th April chemical attacks in Douma, Eastern Ghouta. While the US, UK and France have been clamouring for justice and bombing Syria based on alleged offences committed by the Syrian government ‘against their own people’, […]

The British Government is “Talking War With Russia”: The Mysterious Skripal Incident-Another Anti-Russian Provocation
The British government is talking war with Russia over a mysterious incident that is claimed to have taken place on Sunday March 4, just a few kilometres from the secrecy shrouded British biological and chemical warfare research and development facility at Porton Down in Wiltshire. I say claimed since we have very little information confirming what exactly took place outside of government statements and we have seen no photographs of the alleged victims in their hospital beds to convince us that the alleged victims did fall ill and are being treated.
Boyfriend Material
He wasn’t boyfriend material He was too easy to draw into my orbit With only the gravitational pull Of my indifferent erotic ozone. I didn’t mean to do it I didn’t even direct it at him The aroma of it just hit his nostrils and he Followed its scent In a neanderthal stupour It wasn’t flattering He was just obeying […]
White Helmets & ‘Local Councils’ – Is the UK FCO Financing Terrorism in Syria with Taxpayer Funds?
21st Century Wire The UK regime is a primary player in the ostensibly US-led coalition whose objective for the last seven years, has been the removal of Syria’s President Assad and the inevitable imposition of a so called “moderate” Islamic State upon the people of Syria. This campaign has led to the destabilization of Syria and destruction of infrastructure across […]

US Govt-Funded Think Tank Praises “Moderate” Al Qaeda
With al Qaeda now seen by the U.S. as likely the only group in Syria “militarily capable of challenging the Assad regime’s grip on power, the U.S. is in the uncomfortable position of having to rehabilitate 9/11 and current terrorists into supportable “moderates.”
Universal Credit: 42 Days – A Hunger Strike
On November 1st 2017 Chris Young began a 42 day hunger strike. Here he explains why: I’d really rather not be doing this, but it’s my aim over those 6 weeks to help me focus on the plight of the hundreds of thousands of people who will be claiming Universal Credit. This system that we’re told is being established to […]
