Interview with a true Syrian patriot and heroine – Salam Alawi, President of Al Thawra basketball club, Damascus. Damascus July 2019- Meeting Salam Alawi was one of the most meaningful encounters of my whole time in Syria. Jean And His Friends: Children Maimed and Murdered Not Innocent Enough For Channel 4 News
We have sent this heartbreaking video to Channel 4 News in light of them airing the most recent in a series of blatant White Helmets propaganda pieces. 14 year old Jean Ibrahim here recounts to Vanessa Beeley the horror of the day his school was shelled by the very groups Jon Snow and his cabal of corporate hacks promote as […]
‘Moderate Rebel’ Slaughter: ‘How many More Atrocities Must Be Witnessed?’
BSN editor: The western corporate media will never report the barbarity of their masters’ proxies in Syria, the Jihadist horde committing acts of such savagery they beggar belief. These writers are not journalists, but stenographers for psychopaths and they have blood on their hands. They are every bit as guilty as the venal warmongers and the sick Islamist extremists who […]
The Grieving Women of Syria Who Fight For Freedom
Nara Salloum: ‘freedom for West is to fight and destroy our country, kill our children and destroy people’s lives – we will take back our rights and our freedom with our own hands’ Vanessa Beeley writes: The courageous Syrian women who volunteered to take up arms and to defend their town against international terrorism. Wives, mothers, sisters of martyrs, these […]
A Moment in History: The Time to Cleanse Labour of Neoliberalism is Now!
Sometimes we do not know when small actions could have the most momentous effects. The Archduke Franz Ferdinand loved his wife, which was most unusual for a Hapsburg. She was not of royal blood and strict protocol meant she could not appear in public ceremonies with him in Vienna. Which is why he chose to undertake a royal visit to […]
Jingoistic Military Fetishization Is As American As Bald Eagle McNuggets
Face it, America. Trump’s tank parade isn’t in any way alien to anything you’ve ever stood for. The only way to make it more American would be to add a few monster trucks and a Kardashian. This parade is your reflection. This parade is you.
The plot to keep Corbyn out of power
Listing the ways the state-corporate media have sought to undermine Corbyn would sound preposterous to anyone not deeply immersed in these media-constructed narratives. But almost all of us have been exposed to this kind of “brainwashing under freedom” since birth.
Response to Open Letter of 1 July 2019
In conclusion, I fully agree with your interpretation of the law, and that any victim courageous enough to report sexual abuse must be protected, supported and taken seriously. As far as the case of Assange is concerned, however, I stand by my conclusion that the available evidence does not warrant the prosecution’s finding of “rape”.
Not In My Name: Academics Publicly Attacking UN Torture Rapporteur
I am a survivor of rape, gang rape and the abusive police process I was subjected to when I reported it and I am fed up with watching sexual violence being used as a cover for political attacks on Julian Assange, ais colleagues and his supporters.
Demasking the Torture of Julian Assange
In the end it finally dawned on me that I had been blinded by propaganda, and that Assange had been systematically slandered to divert attention from the crimes he exposed. Once he had been dehumanized through isolation, ridicule and shame, just like the witches we used to burn at the stake, it was easy to deprive him of his most fundamental rights without provoking public outrage worldwide.
How the OPCW’s investigation of the Douma incident was nobbled
If the Douma attack was staged the only plausible explanation for the deaths of the victims is that they were murdered as captives by the opposition group in control of Douma at the time.
Top scientist slams OPCW leadership for repressing dissenting report on Syria gas attack
MIT rocket scientist Theodore Postol has accused the OPCW leadership of overseeing “compromised reporting” and ignoring evidence that challenged claims that the Syrian government carried out a chemical attack in Douma.
