NATO states responded with an unjustified certainty to the Douma incident two years ago, and have compounded the shame with their treatment of weapons expert Ian Henderson this week at the UN. Preordained conclusions At an ‘Arria-formula’ meeting of the Security Council convened on January 20, 2020 at the request of Russia, Ian Henderson – a former member of the […]

If you want to understand what is really happening in the world today, a mid-ranking official named Ian Henderson is vastly more important to you than Theresa May. You will not, however, find anything about Henderson in the vast majority of corporate and state media outlets.
The liberation of Idlib, and also Hama, Latakia and Aleppo countrysides, will mean not only an end to terrorists’ incessant bombing of civilians, but also an end to the savage rule of terrorists – rule which in every prior instance around Syria has meant imprisonment, torture, and public executions of civilians by sword or point-blank assassination, starvation, rape of women, and even organ theft.
The Salisbury and Douma attacks are illustrative of just what happens when a government is prepared to dissimulate or even lie to go the extra mile to make a case to justify preemptive action that otherwise might be challenged. Theresa May is, unfortunately, still in power and so is Donald Trump. In a better world an outraged public would demand that they be thrown out of office and even possibly subjected to the tender ministrations of the International Criminal Court in The Hague.
On April 7 2018 Syrian ‘rebels’ claimed that the Syrian government used chlorine gas and Sarin in an attack on the besieged Douma suburb near capital Damascus. They published a series of videos which showed the dead bodies of mainly women and children. During the night the incident allegedly happened Douma was hit with artillery and air strikes in retaliation […]
Western powers appear perfectly relaxed about dealing painful blows to the Syrian army, which could open the gates to a resurgence of jihadists and possibly the decapitation of the Syrian state.
Moscow’s delegation to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) held a press briefing in the Hague on April 26 on the alleged 7th April chemical attacks in Douma, Eastern Ghouta. While the US, UK and France have been clamouring for justice and bombing Syria based on alleged offences committed by the Syrian government ‘against their own people’, […]
The first strange thing to note is that the US, UK and France boycotted the meeting, denouncing Russia for producing the witnesses and calling the event an “obscene masquerade” and “theatre”. It suggests that this trio, behaving like the proverbial three monkeys, think the testimony will disappear if they simply ignore it.
Yesterday, both Syria and Russia presented witnesses to Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) in in The Hague, Netherlands. Multiple witness and participants in the White Helmets video testified of a ‘staged’ gas attack in the Syrian town of Douma, as well as how the online video productions supplied to western governments and media were part of the […]
The truth is sometimes revealed through words, but more often through deeds. The Times and several other papers recently carried alarming stories about “Apologists for Assad” to be found in social media, in independent journalism, and even in universities. Passive consumers of corporate media communications may have taken the papers’ word for it and been perturbed. The more alert, however, […]
It would be naïve to think that the chemical attack in Syria and the Skripal scandal are two separate events. They are links in the same chain. With the spy poisoning case leading nowhere, the anti-Russia campaign needs a new impetus. The alleged CW attack is a good pretext to spur the efforts.
Eight reasons why the latest Syria chemical weapons attack allegations are almost certainly complete nonsense
There is much ambiguity surrounding the alleged chemical weapons attack in Douma, said to have taken place late Saturday, but there are a few matters that are clear: First, the reports are “unverified”, according to The Wall Street Journal and British Foreign Office and are unconfirmed, according to the US State Department . What’s more, The New York […]
