When headlines were analysed for evidence of Pro-Union/Pro-Independence framing, it was discovered that whilst 976 (61.8%) headlines showed no obvious bias towards either side, those headlines which did display some form of bias showed that for every headline which framed Scottish independence positively, there were 4.3 articles which were against independence.

Love Letter from England to Scotland
People of Scotland, do not believe the lies and empty threats from the corporations, bankers and Westminster politicians – the working class of England are behind you.
The team here at BSN wish you every success in your future – we say you deserve your chance to show the world how a small, independent state can thrive without letting go of your values and integrity.

Out in the open
Nick Robinson claims Alex Salmond “didn’t answer” his question at a press conference earlier today. That is a brazen and quite spectacular lie.
Robinson rudely harassed and heckled Salmond after his answer. He’s now lied about it on national television. The BBC’s open contempt for its legal duty of impartiality is no longer acceptable. It’s the people of Scotland who will now be demanding answers.
‘Dark Omens’ And ‘Horror Shows’: Scottish Independence, Power And Propaganda
David Cromwell (Media Lens) Established power hates uncertainty, especially any threat to its grip on the political, economic and financial levers that control society. And so it is with elite fears that the United Kingdom, formed by the 1707 Acts of Union, could be on the verge of unravelling. No informed commentator doubts that elite interests will do all they […]

The Stolen Seas
“Now tell me Labour or Westminster can be trusted with Scotland’s interests. This is the answer to the frenzied pledges from London, as the entire UK Establishment and mainstream media faces humiliation on 18 September.”
On Scottish Independence
Scotland has long been a nation. We shall soon find out whether its citizens now wish that nation to become a state. I hope they do. It will not only open up new opportunities for their own country but will break up the atrophied, decaying British state and reduce its efficacy as a US vassal.
I was bullied by BBC over academic report on indyref bias – the Scottish media blackout must end
Senior BBC figures reported me to senior staff at my university and colleagues of mine were even warned to ‘stay away’ from me. I see this as a clear form of bullying by a powerful corporation. The great crime I’d committed was in publishing the results of a study which indicated that BBC Scotland’s coverage of the Scottish independence referendum between September 2012 and September 2013 noticeably favoured the No campaign.
Yes to our independent imagination
The No side’s worry isn’t just over the political, economic and social potentialities of independence, immense as they are. It’s the deeper alarm any establishment feels when watching a collective stirring of the independent imagination.
“The dogs bark, but the caravan passes on.”
Only when Mark Carney, Christine Lagarde and Prince Charles start talking about the abolition of privately created debt-based money should we even begin to take them seriously. Of course such an affront to the obscenely wealthy would have seen even Prince Charles ejected from the Mansion House soiree.
BBC Propaganda Hits New All-Time Low
But what makes this propaganda utterly unforgiveable is that Vote No Borders is not a grassroots campaign at all but a government organized campaign which has mysteriously acquired start-up cash of 400,000 pounds with no declared origin.
