The uprisings of the Arab Spring have so far produced anarchy in Libya, a civil war in Syria, greater autocracy in Bahrain and resumed dictatorial rule in Egypt.

The Lies Behind The West’s War On Libya
After 500 years of a profoundly unequal relationship with the West, it is clear that we don’t have the same criteria of what is good and bad. We have deeply divergent interests. How can one not deplore the ‘yes’ votes from three sub-Saharan countries (Nigeria, South Africa and Gabon) for resolution 1973 that inaugurated the latest form of colonisation baptised ‘the protection of peoples’, which legitimises the racist theories that have informed Europeans since the 18th century and according to which North Africa has nothing to do with sub-Saharan Africa, that North Africa is more evolved, cultivated and civilised than the rest of Africa?
Why is Zimbabwe’s Robert Mugabe not a Hero?
When these leaders started to shift allegiance, the heroes soon became villains. We all know how Osama, Saddam, Gaddafi fell from grace. BBC wrote glowing reports on Mugabe for 25 years up until the time Mugabe started introducing land reforms. Thereafter the white media started to promote Morgan Tsangvirai’s MDC party after the West started to pumping cash. MDC was no different to South African ANC – both ready to allow the whites to continue the economic hold on their respective countries.
Unknown Snipers and Western backed “Regime Change”
The use of mercenaries, death squads and snipers by Western intelligence agencies is well documented. No rational government attempting to stay in power would resort to unknown snipers to intimidate its opponents. Shooting at innocent protestors would be counterproductive in the face of unmitigated pressure from Western governments determined to install a client regime in Damascus. Shooting of unarmed protestors is only acceptable in dictatorships that enjoy the unconditional support of Western governments such as Bahrain, Honduras or Colombia.
Mandela is Gone, but Apartheid is Alive and Well in Australia
When Nelson Mandela was buried this week, his struggle against apartheid was duly celebrated in Australia, though the irony was missing. Apartheid was defeated largely by a global campaign from which the South African regime never recovered. Similar opprobrium has seldom found its mark in Australia, principally because the Aboriginal population is so small and Australian governments have been successful in dividing and co-opting a disparate leadership with gestures and vacuous promises.
France fuels sectarian killing in CAR
Rather tellingly, French President Hollande asserted this week: “France is not here in the Central African Republic out of any self-interest… France has come to defend human dignity.” That assertion sounds suspiciously guilt-ridden.
The plain truth is France has intervened in CAR for a neo-imperialist bonanza. But it needs a pretext of humanitarianism and sectarian chaos to cover up its naked criminality. This would explain who is engineering the bloodletting in that unfortunate country; and the blood trail goes all the way to Paris.
The Media’s Hypocritical Oath – Mandela And Economic Apartheid
What does it mean when a notoriously profit-driven, warmongering, climate-killing media system mourns, with one impassioned voice, the death of a principled freedom fighter like Nelson Mandela?
Does it mean that the corporate system has a heart, that it cares? Or does it mean that Mandela’s politics, and the mythology surrounding them, are somehow serviceable to power?
The Mandela Myth
a more thorough examination of the facts, some of which are not well-known, leads to the conclusion to which many “Blacks” in South Africa have come: Apartheid did not end in substance, only in form. To all appearances there was a dirty deal between Mandela and the Apartheid regime that rendered possible Mandela’s release from prison and the apparent accession to power of the African National Congress, while most of the figures behind the Apartheid regime merely backed away from centre stage and continue to pull the strings behind the scenes.
The Hijacking of Mandela’s Legacy
Beware of strangers bearing gifts. The “gift” is the ongoing, frantic canonization of Nelson Mandela. The “strangers” are the 0.0001 percent, that fraction of the global elite that’s really in control (media naturally included).
UN, EU Subsidize French Crimes in Africa
Some two weeks ago, the Paris government started whipping up sensationalist headlines that the CAR was “on the verge of genocide”.
French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius told French media: “It is total disorder… we have to act quickly.”
Paris did not provide any evidence or victims to back up its blood-curdling claims of imminent genocide.
Mandela – appropriation of an icon
As the presidents, prime ministers, princes and royals prepare for Mandela’s great funeral, consider just how suitable most of them are to be ‘mourning’ such a man.
How easily, too, the patronage and words of such figures displaces any true debate on Mandela’s politics or associations to those like Ronnie Kasrils, Joe Slovo and other such ANC subversives.

At the heart of the bargain with monopoly capital was we will globalize, we will embrace neoliberal globalized economics, while you de-racialize the structures of the South African economy which led to black economic empowerment and the creation of a class of super-rich blacks.
