An analyst debunks the US and UK governments’ claims of bringing democracy to the Middle East in the wake off their collaboration in the crackdown on pro-democracy protests in Bahrain, Press TV reports.
Police in Bahrain continue to step up attacks on pro-democracy protesters in Bahrain as questions loom over the safety and morality of hosting the Formula 1 there in April. Bahrainis have been staging demonstrations since mid-February 2011, demanding political reform and a constitutional monarchy, a demand that later changed to an outright call for the ouster of the ruling Al Khalifa family following its brutal crackdown on popular protests.
