As Media Lens replied to one of their readers on this subject, your comments align closely with the stance taken by the Isreali government and their supporters. Imagine if the boycott of aparteid South Africa stalled for such reasons - thankfully most rock bands stood firm and respected the boycott and Mandella was not left to rot away in prison.

Why isn’t there a boycott against the U.S. as well? If you’re going to boycott Israel for their apartheid actions against the people of Palestine, then why wouldn’t you boycott the U.S. who supplies them with weapons and a UN veto whenever nations collect together to sanction their crimes? I can’t see how people are upset about Radiohead breaking the picket line when so many perform in the U.S.

His reasons for going to Israel are rather shallow and sham. I think he doesn’t give a fig.for the Palestinian people and their suffering. Would he also go to Grrmany in the 30’s when the oppression of Jews was.gsthering viciousness. By his arguments he probably would. There is a segment if pop musicians who only care about the money. This band is one of them. Margaret atwood is another.
